Due to lots of families have more than two children, causing the public awareness in terms of the family planning program (KB) continues to decline lately.

"Public awareness against family planning program. They are used to have more than two children. Right now, this not compete in quantity but how to produce quality children," said Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat when he opened the Regional Meeting of Jakarta Family Planning and Women and Community Empowerment Body (BPMPKB) in Melati Family Welfare Movement (PKK) Building, Kebagusan Urban Village, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Tuesday (5/19).

Djarot hoped the program could be intensified in the city because it relates with improved family life quality and could minimize poverty. He cited, if a family has many children without sufficient economic, it will trigger a new poverty among public.

"One of the poverty factors in Jakarta is the lack of work ethic from people. If they had many children, they have to work hard to meet their daily needs," told Djarot.

To solve that, he instructs the BPMPKB to immediately find out the subject matter of Jakarta people problem.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Family Planning and Women and Community Empowerment Body, Dien Emmawati added such meeting will evaluate all activities that have and are still being done. "We'll evaluate the last year and this year's program. Then we also plan to formulate a program that can be reached by people to create a more prosperous community," he disclosed.
